the Bredren were later incarcerated as political
prisoners also, an Angel appeared unto I Woman.

The PRG tried to organize and mobilize the Rasta
People in this way.  Heh.  This is a funny time….
 
They don't want I working outside.  They gave the
other prisoners opportunity, but for a Man like I
there was no opportunity.  This is a guava tree. 
Hopevale was a place like they have in Russia or
a place like Hitler had for people.  Rasta called it
HopeFAIL.  It was the greatest division of Man.
 
Before Maurice Bishop, the Rastas was already
divided.  You see, here in Grenada we had no
elderly Bredren in our midst.  We all emerged
actually the same time and live Rasta.  And then,
when I emerged amongst I Bredren, I Bredren
provided I full authority and gave I the full support. 
You see?  As a leader of RASTAFARI in this land.
That was just in the time of Bishop.
 
We supported Bishop because the situation here
wasn't good.  The government wasn't good.
The people wanted change and Rasta needed
someone to have appreciated them and someone
to have helped them along the way.  Bishop was
pretending to offer that all the time.  For years he
had been pretending he was the One.  And when
everything was given to him, we found out that he
was not the One – but he was someone masked.
 
To unmask a man is a sad thing, you know. 
All the time he was pretending to be such a good
man to the poor and needy, and then he was just
another man that didn't care.  The Rastas unmask
Bishop and he couldn't stand it.
 
We had a interview with the Torchlight newspaper
criticizing Maurice Bishop and the PRG regime very
heavily.  You see, Bishop had promised the Rasta
People freedom of worship – to legalize the Ganja
Herb, but now he was bowing to International
Politics.  First was the story.  The next day was
a demonstration.  The PRG was demonstrating;
the Rastas was counter-demonstrating!  They
closed the Torchlight on the following day.
 
The Rasta people only get involved in the
Revolution because of the System that was
going on.  Because one side was oppressing
you and one side was saying, 'OK, we will bring
justice and equality for all.'
 
The Torchlight interview was a confrontation
between the Rastas and the People's
Revolutionary Government.  The Rastas
now begin to be in more spiritual vigilancy. 
You see, while Bishop and them was looking
for some counter-attack with guns, it never really
happen because the Rasta whole tradition is a
non-violent one.  As it was from all the Times. 
It is a movement based in Justice and Love and
Peace and all these things.
 
But then Bishop and his bredrens, they try to give
a bad image of the Rastaman.  He say the Rastas
are working for the CIA and planning to overthrow
them.  Most of the suffering that the Rastas went
under was because Maurice Bishop government
brand them as CIA agents.  And these things was
wrong, you know?  Most of the Rasta people
never even went to America!  Most Rasta been
living in the mountains since they really reach
with the Concept.  They never really had contact
with any people of this sort.
 
But because of what was going on, the Rastaman
see that he have to really let his voice be heard.
The Lion have to roar.  You see, when the Lion
roar, all Bishop and all the enemy of His Majesty
begin to confederate.
 
And then recently we knew that Mengistu was
in Ethiopia and the whole situation that went on
out there was supported by the Marxist people. 
Remember, according to I&I Concept, His Majesty
is really the Daily Sacrifice.[21]
 
When the Daily Sacrifice was taken away in this
manner, and them place Mengistu and his Cuban
and Russian friends, the Rastas look at them
as traitors and enemy to I&I whole movement.
These people was fighting against a Theocracy,
an Ancient Kingdom.  Against Ethiopia!  They was
fighting against Mount ZION and they was seeking
to destroy RASTAFARI forIver. 
 
But because of the powers of the Most High JAH
RASTAFARI, certain Bredrens out here could
naturally have seen what was going on and
reason with other Bredrens.  And make them
know that the whole situation in Ethiopia is
actually the same thing like how going on here.
 
Satan was with JAH from Creation. 
He was even created by the said JAH. 
And he was always with JAH in that time …
until he rebel also.
He is known for spreading lies about his Creator.
 
His Majesty Court is the Court of Almighty I. 
When you go to His Majesty, you standing before….

You see, Christ is just a Man who prays continually.

And his officers who was in his army, and his men
who was pretending to be royal – His Majesty
knew they was not royal from all them time.
Because His Majesty's daily works and daily
sacrifice and reading the prophecy and praying
show that he knew that a whole portion of people
that was around him was his enemies.  But he
never paid great heed to these things, because
he already knew they was his enemy.  He paid
greater heeds to greater things.
 
Coming to the Caribbean here in them times – 
an ancient man like His Majesty coming to the
Caribbean in 1966 was a strange thing.  The
whole conflict with the Russians and Cubans in
Ethiopia was the same as the confrontation with
Bishop and the Cubans toward the Ethiopian
people that was in Grenada here – the Rasta
people that came to be Ethiopian.  The conflict
in Ethiopia afflict us very badly.
 
And in Jamaica, Manley have a good portion
of Rasta people supporting his political views.
Manley got support from Rasta people in Jamaica
just like Bishop got support from Rasta people
here.  But Manley did the same thing like what
Bishop did!  He betrayed the Rastas.  According
to the whole Writing.  Is a whole set a betraying.
 
This new system have nothing good in it for Rasta.
Rasta must never depend on other systems.  He
must try to develop his own.  Because there was
a System that was laid down for him all the time.
He lost certain high meditation and reaching lower
cities, and he see now to fly up in higher cities.
 
Some of the Marxist teachings was truth, some
was propaganda, and some was lies.  The truth
that they was speaking about was the Evil of
Imperialists.  What they was saying is that the
Imperialist people oppress the poor and they
support wrong things, which have certain realities
in it.  How I overstand it was in these terms, but
they speak plenty different words.  These are
people that are Intellectual.
 
The men that was coming to handle the Rasta
people was men that went to train in different part
of the world.  They was trained to handle people
like us: Rastas.  But they couldn't penetrate the
Rastaman because the Rastaman was living in
a different world to them. 
 
You see, they was living in a world where they feel
the gun will win all the time and Oppression is IT. 
These systems I speaking about is evil systems,
you know.  The communist system is a very evil
system.
 
There was three different set of people here. 
There was people who have No Mercy, people
who Love to see Evil, and people who Exalt
Wickedness.  These was all the people that was
in Bishop regime at that time.  Regardless the
form of evil or what was the name, it was Brutal.
 
And they was trying to tell you, 'Oh!  This is not
brutal, but there are other things that is more
brutal than this.'  They would say, 'Oh no, this
system is very good.  We have tried things in
Cuba and it worked very well.  We are now trying
it in Ethiopia and it is excellent!  In Nicaragua right
now is a great Struggle where we are defeating
Imperialism!'
 
The main thing of the systems of the world:
one say, 'Oh!  We are winning!'  And one say,
'No!  WE are winning!'
 
The main thing that we need to show in the world
is the liberty of one love amongst all people and all
nations.  One Perfect Love, One Heart. 
 
The Rastaman feel he is winning too, you know.
Everyone thinks he's winning.  But is because they
can't accept being lost, being a loser, they would
say, 'Oh yes, we are winning.'
 
Heh.  You ever see the Bay of Pigs on film? 
It was the whole story how the Cubans in America
was going home to capture Cuba.  And the Cuban
people come out and defeat them very bad!  It was
called the Bay of Pigs.  Maybe Bishop government
was looking at this for defensive strategy.
 
There was lots of Rastaman in Hopevale, and
when the Americans invaded, these Man became
free Man.  Even so, within this society you see that
these Man still going to prison in a different way. 
Even tho we live in a democracy.
 
You see, these said Rastaman is still captured for
a little Herb and still have to pay big sum of money
in the Court and go to Prison.  It create problems
for the existence of these people.  The problem
for the Rasta people now is really economical
situation.  The Rasta is very poor.
 
What the Rasta mean with the idea of Repatriation
is that a Man need to live in comfort and security.
People could assist, even tho the Rastas have to
help theyself. Not to say we looking for assistance,
but we looking for we Righteous Portion.
 
But they want to move us out!  Not to Africa,
not for Repatriation, but to move I from Creation
totally, to destroy a whole People.  When they are
looking to fight against Marijuana with all these
different laws, Rasta is attacked psychologically,
Rasta is oppressed.
 
They come and they say, 'OK, we're fighting
against Marijuana.'  But Rasta People know it
really involving more than Marijuana, which is
our Sacrament and our little economical survival.
So we fight the unwelcome fight. 
 
These people of the police and the government
who pay no heed to the Rasta People, they
are only opening avenues for a lot of more
Revolution!  The Rasta People are very sensitive
to Oppression.  If there is a way out for the
Rastas, the System has thrown the way out. 
Rastas remain second-class citizens.
 
There is certain help that the Rasta People need
in order for they whole existence.  And we being
Denied.  These needs are Righteous needs.
These things belong to Rasta in a real way also
because we are part of the Earth.  We was born
on this Earth here in Grenada, we was Manifest
in these parts.  We have a Right to these parts.
 
Every day the government say, ‘OK, how much
money to get rid of Ganja?’  But this belonged
to us in Africa.  And then what do you think they
create for the Rastas to survive?  You could go
in the hills for the next hundred years and keep
choking Rastaman and destroying they crop and
bringing them to the prisons for a little Marijuana,
but then you don’t want Peace and Justice.
 
Rastas view them as the wicked people, you
know.  These people who fighting against Ganja
is wicked people, Man.  Because this is for we
own sacrifice and survival.  Even the birds are
denied the seeds, to fly faster and sing sweeter.
 
These people belong to a system that rule the
thing they call Church and State, hand-in-hand.
These people make false laws.  These men are
false judge.  My Father see I smoking, the True
Judge.  But when you throw I in prison and beat
I and cause my Children to suffer….
 
Yes, Suzan.  Is men like these what brought
Maurice Bishop into power.  Maurice mistake
was thinking that the Poor Man should not exist
in these parts.  Remember the Rasta People have
always been the poorest of the poorest, and these
are the people that he base his whole policy and
spend his whole time looking to destroy.  It is a
sad thing.  He get he Judgment.
 
We never want to go to the government for help
because we know they intention is not to help us. 
The police and all a them are one people, you
know.  Is a lot of devils and demons fighting
against Rasta.  The government that rule society
is very scared of Rasta.  All the governments that
ever govern, they are scared of Rasta all the time.
They have a lot of fear. 
 
I don't know WHY.
 
But I already know why.  They fear the Black
Survivors because the concept of the system
is survival of the fittest.  But all the things they
been fighting against for years is the said thing
they have to accept now.  And realize that Love
is the Only Answer.
 
They fight with Tactics of Fear.  All the systems
seem to be the same in certain ways, but they
have different Tactics of Fear.  The people who
feel the most pain are the Rastas.  I&I become
the center of the Sandwich of the Superpowers.
 
I remember Hopevale, Man.  Many hundred
of Rastaman – the place sad!  I could see the
wicked-in-they-heart sit down close there, with
guns.  I come out here to get a bathe in the river. 
And when I look and see the sad, suffering face
upon my Bredren in this little country … so many
Rasta just here … and they face is so SAD …
the rivers … you in the natural land and the
beauty!  The birds, yes.  But you are not FREE
to make your own movemant.  Because you have
to work for the army, and soldiers with gun at you.
And I&I did no wrong!  Rasta stand for justice
over everything, but in another sense I&I give
thanks for every persecution.  Rasta saving up
Blessings on the straight and narrow way.
 
I stay inside the prison and I peek, I watch all
my Bredren cutlass all here.  Cut all the grass
and plant it with different crops.  All here was
tomatoes.  Pepper!  They don't want I to plant
peppers.  I pass.  Maybe I go to get a bathe
with two soldiers or three soldiers keeping
guard.  They never wanted I to work.  I alone
sit down under this tree for many days, just
watching Rasta people work out here.  And
men with guns.  Maybe they had twenty soldiers
there.  And they had a campsite right over here. 
 
The PRG never really accept that this was a
Prison.  They said it was a Reformery – a place
to reform the mentality of a people.  A People
that have they own Culture and a People that
are Peaceful!  After the war, the Rastas loot
everything in Hopevale….  Heh heh.  O My God.
 
This place is separate from the world.  The whole
place is circular, blocked off by mountains and
hills.  Mountains to the east, mountains to the
south, mountains to the north, mountains to the
west, and Hopevale is in the center.  Long time
the whole of Hopevale was sugarcane.  When
Europeans tasted sugar they had to have more!
So sugar was the drug behind the slave trade. 
It paid for guns to trade and raid for more slaves.
 
In the true sense, RASTAFARI have an ancient
tradition – a teaching that was handed down to
us by the elderly bredren Ras Boanerges, the
Sons of Thunder.  We have an Ancient Culture. 
You see, different bredren might have different
personalities, but when it coming down to the
theological teaching of RASTAFARI, it is One.

But when I was in Hopevale it was a different
experience again, because I met other Rastas
who have different ideology towards Rasta too! 
Just like how you have the Socialist Party and
the Communist Party and the Democracy Party
and you have This Party and This Other Party.
 
Only Wise Man survive in Hopevale.  Only Wise
Man escape.  When you inside here, you hearing
all the vibration of the shackles.  When you're
inside their meditation, your body push out certain
energy that you could resurrect ancient things that
go on in this place.  Thru suffering and pain within
the Flesh and the Spirit and the Heart and Soul
of Man, when you're in these walls and in these
barriers you invoke ancient things.  You hear them
and even see them. 
 
There was a horse that used to come thru here –
a carriage with a horse.  Like a buggy.  I used to
always call the hour it come in the night.  I see
the people who driving it, I hear them talking.
The oppression by the PRG against the Rastas
in Hopevale raised up the old spirit of slavery!
It was a mental conditioning under violence.
 
This is a very special Herb.  This is Black Sage.
It is a friend to the Marijuana.  When there was no
Ganja here, we smoke it.  The Rasta People know
of all the Herbs.  These People are Living Sage.
 
I learn many things from the Land.  I learn most
of all from His Majesty, Haile Selassie I.  He is
the Master.  When you see Selassie I in a vision,
you see HIM like the Living I, the I of All Things. 
The Foundation.  People say, 'O Nnanna, what
about Selassie?'  But my vision tell I of Selassie.
 
This is where I send my Bredren to collect the
mushroom in the early morning.  Because in this
part many many cows.  You come for mushroom

The biggest bat I ever see in Grenada is at
Hopevale.  The most strange things I experience
in my whole life is here.  This road we on – the
only time I travel this road out was when they
carry I to the hospital.  I have many bullet wounds.
 
You see this cloud there?  Watch this cloud.  You
see how it sit among all the clouds?  You see how
it look like a Man sit on a Throne? This cloud is
the most beautiful, it attract more people.  But watch
the dark and evil cloud when it see this beautiful
cloud.  Watch it now move across.  See how it try
to hide the beautiful cloud?  The whole story is in
the Heavens: the signs and the wonders.
 
Yes, this place has very beautiful clouds!  The sun
setting beyond the hills….  All the light and colours
shine on the clouds that fly over the mountains
from the sea.  That is the mystery of Hopevale. 
Everything come to Hopevale.  You see the
setting of the sun, you see the rising of the sun.
When the sun come up, it come JUST beyond
this mountain and it burst forth in all its glory. 
Everything is just beyond the hills.  When you in
Hopevale you say, 'Oh … to escape Hopevale is
JUST beyond this little mountain!'
 
It have everything here.  All the creatures, all the
birds sing together.  Listen to the distant birds,
listen to their music.  This is the birds we have to
listen to – the distant birds….        (So I listened.)
 
If Babylon had colonized her empire with Love –
uplifting the People – she would be respected.
But she maintained segregation and domination,
feeding a dread Beast.  I&I call it 'Desolation'.
But His Majesty is Greater so Rasta stay Strong.

how a Mighty Hand shapes our Destiny.
The Word was the Lion's guidance
when he was called to Judge the Nations,
and the Word was the Lamb's guidance also

Isaiah foretold a Maiden would give birth to a Son

until he know to refuse evil and choose what is good.

Who can contest that God is in Man?
Failing to know this, you will die in your sins.
Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father.
Those who reject me reject the One who sent me.
The Father is in me and I AM in the Father.

Most times it was days of agony
before the crucified ones would die.
The Pharisees said they should break his legs
to ensure he was dead before Sabbath draw nigh.
 
But Joseph told Pilate that My Lord was dead
and Pilate was astonished he had died so soon.
Joseph took the nails out of his flesh
and laid him on the Earth, and the Earth Quaked,
and the Pharisees were certain the End had come
before the Sun came out to shine.
 
As Joseph washed and anointed the Lord
with Nicodemus healing herbs: myrrh and aloes,
the powerful touch of his hands could revive
a Flesh that had willingly walked thru the Shadows.
 
And Joseph wrapped his tortured wounds
in linen cloths as white as dove wings,
and brought him to his own tomb
in the Garden of Joseph.
 
The Bredren hid themselves in a mountain cave
because the veil of the Sanctuary had torn in two
and the Scribes were spreading Lies
that the Disciples would burn the Temple.
 
The Pharisee Priests and Elders demanded
that soldiers must guard the Tomb,
and they set Seven Seals upon it
and camped there to guard it.
 
The Roman Guard that Pilate gave them
was one Petronius and his soldiers.
Was this the Centurion who spake of My Lord?
In truth this Man was a Son of God.       (Mark 15:33-39)
 
Now they guarded and they guarded
till after Sabbath, early morn,
when the stone rolled aside, two Man gone inside,
and My Lord came forth shining before the Dawn,
supported by two Bredren, with a Cross following.
JAH said: Thou hast preached to them that sleep.
And the voice of the Spirit from the Cross said: Yea.
 
And the Priests and Elders transfixed in a trance.
Then they hastened to Pilate, who said unto them:
I am pure from the blood of the Son of God:
but it was ye who determined this.
 
The Pharisees conspired to bribe the soldiers.
On pain of death they swore to conceal it.
But if it was JAH Will that His Son survive the Cross
then the Gospel of Peter does reveal it.
What a victory to dance in the furnace of the Beast.
He can't hold the I, and so he does feel it.
 
Overstand that the People were calling Christ their
King, which made him a threat to the Dictatorship
of Caesar.  The Scribes and Pharisees were
paranoid because if the people should disobey
Caesar, Rome would naturally feel to stomp out
their religion.  That is why they decided to sacrifice
the Lord.  Was the conspiracy to rescue My Lord
established by himself beforehand?  Was this the
lineup of his words at the Passover Supper? 
 
Nobody did know what was going on.  He who
knew His Plan is He Who is the Source of Life.
 
To Judas he said:
What you are going to do, do it quickly.
Because it was the eve
of the day of Sabbath Preparation.
 
To Peter he said:
Tell them Thrice: You don’t know me.
And this was so the Disciple
would be spared crucifixion.
 
And Joseph, the Rich Man –
was he the Last Supper Host?
Would he be the one to tend to his wounds
and hide him after the resurrection?
 
Do you think that My Lord intended to be killed?
He was wiser by far than the wicked and craven.
Still he knew that Prophecy must fulfill,
and perhaps for his faith his Father would save him.
 
That is why he prayed in the garden:
ABBA!  All things are possible for The I.
Just take this cup away from I.
But let Thy Will be done.
 
My Lord, Dreadlocks Nazarite, fast and pray.
My Lord is the Master of Faith and Meditation,
purified from the weakness of the mortal flesh.
Even as he lay in the tomb in white linen,
did he pull the Spirit forward into his Temple
from where it soared on the heights of the stars?
 
Higher than pain and higher than hatred,
in his mind’s eye did he hold on to his Structure
for the love of Mary Magdalene?
After God, for His Love is unto All Mankind.
 
Did Joseph and Nicodemus come on angel wings
and hold up My Lord to come out from the tomb?
They were both councilors of the Jewish Sanhedrin,
known to meet with the Lord under cover of night.
 
By all accounts Mary of Magdala did witness,
after Sabbath, the 3rd day: My Lord has arisen!
The Disciples later walked with him to Bethany.
From there, some say he went to India, Kashmir.
Others say to Egypt where he had lived as a baby.
No matter.  The Way to His House is in Him.
 
So the Prophet testified: They killed him not,
nor crucified him to death,
but so it was made to appear to them,
and those who differ therein are full of doubts,
with no certain knowledge,
but only conjecture to follow,
for of a surety they killed him not.    (Qur’an 4:157-159)
Nay, God raised him up unto Himself,
and God is Exalted in Power, Wise.
And every single one of the People of the Book
shall believe in Him and He shall be their Witness.
 
Thomas was doubtful; he had not seen the Lord,
so he couldn’t believe what God had done for Man.
But when he had seen Him his faith was restored.
Blessed are they who’ve seen not, yet overstand
the Lesson in Faith from the Holes in His Hands.
 
The Patriarchs were given a taste of the Spirit,
but Christ sends the Spirit to make Angels of Man.
I&I have seen Selassie on the Wings of the Wind.
Angels speak in our ears and take us by the hand.
In the Spirit I have seen Mama Africa is starving,
with her two little babies bawling at her dry breast.
I have witnessed the King before a crowd asking:
Are you coming to Africa?  I said: Of course, Yes!
 
Some say that the Spirit speaks only in Scripture.
Indeed there is false vision, contrary to the Word.
But deny True Vision and you deny the Holy One:

As it is written, God’s Wrath is incurred.    (Mt 12:30-32)
 
Let us pray for perfection of the Holy One in I&I.
Was Adam perfect?  Was Enoch perfect?
Were Moses and Aaron not chosen of the Lord?
Was Father Ibrihim not justified in Faith?
Was David not forgiven in Repentance and Grace?
Were Mary, Makeda and Meneylek perfect?
Elijah, Isaiah and Jeremiah,
Daniel in the den and John in the wilderness,
Jes’us and his Bredren say to I&I:
Perseverance is the Way to Redemption.
 
Even wicked Paul was made righteous by Faith.
Muhammad was glorified as the Voice of Gabriel.
Marcus I, Selassie I and Emmanuel I say to I&I:
Strive and purify to be found acceptable.
Are Bob and Peter not lights unto the world?
What about Capleton and Anthony B?
Was Garnett Silk perfect in a world of sin?
Or did he just claim that he always tried to be?
 
Since all are fallible, with limits and temptations,
how is anyone made sanctified, an Angel in Flesh?
Live in Love and trod as a Stranger in the world.
In the hills and pastures the Lord is my Shepherd. 
Therefore I shall not want … another shepherd.
